Planting Tree Analysis

Today I hear this interesting figure:

US7000/acre for 4 yrs to grow the trees &

US2400/acre a yr from 5-25 year ...

that's good money to make ...

This paper company has changed itself 10 years ago to move to value-added paper, to move away from pricing cutting paper & move into high value paper with converting.  This is smart, and we should do exactly the same.

The Story of Electronics

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

Big companies are asking you to change your device every 18 months so that they can make more money!

Book Club @ Work

After CNY, I will setup a book club at work, where all my senior staff will have to read with me, so each one will receive more knowledge.

Read and write sharing to present to us.

Amazon Kindle

My CNY gift to myself is a Kindle 3G 6". It is difficult to not buy one to try out as it seems so much threatening the printed books.

It grabbed my instant attention, it's so Light, so small, I can hold it in one hand, and the e-ink reads like a real book.

Upon using Kindle, It has some amazing feature that really made the difference:

1. A pair of nice speakers which can also play MP3.
2. I can listen to the books - it reads the text.
3. "FREE" 3G in Taiwan with ability to push contents to my Kindle.
5. All my quotes and highlights in the Kindle are sync with a Kindle Blog for me, I can print them out to share

So, it is not a printed book, but it gives many added value for me to "think of" buying printed or Kindle version of a book I want to buy.

When comparing iPad and Kindle, I'd say forget about reading on iPad, Kindle is more worthy of the additional "e" for "books".

Invisalign, the new way for teeth adjustment

This is the third week wearing invisalign -- An alternative teeth aligner to dental braces.  It is made of plastic, removable when eating or drinking beverages other than water, and I change a new one every 2 weeks.

I am one of the first patients to receive this treatment by my dentist clinic.  I must say I felt very blessed to seek for treatment at the right time.  I need to talk face-to-face a lot with my colleagues and customers, it must be very uncomfortable and too noticeable with traditional braces.

I must say that it is great! It is not only no one can notice, but being able to remove for eating helps me to:

1. drink less coffee
2. eat only 3 meals (Oops ..)
3. clean my teeth much more often

I recommend to all considering wearing braces, try invisalign instead, it is more expensive than traditional braces, but I think it is worth it.

BTW, the treatment lasts 10 months only for me, I think it'd be 6 months longer with traditional braces.
