avoid long weekend in British Columbia - though a ski resort, but summer attractions are booming
We went on the last day of a long weekend, opposite is the returning traffic, and is horrible!
spending half a day at a lake is a must - seems Lost Lake is more popular, but be careful that no parking allowed, need to walk / bike / transit up. I recommend Rainbow Park in Alta Lake!
Relax, slow down, a picnic at a lake is highly recommended
mountain trail is a blast - if don't like hiking, must take the chairlift up to both mountains (peak to peak ganola)
In summer time, if weather is hot, better use the blackcomb instead of whistler, because whistler gets hot! If you are only going up for sightseeing, only go on a clear day, or else it will be cold and foggy! Remember to have some food up there! It feels great!
Summer Breeze, fantastic view, time well spent on top of Whistler Mountain
Blackcomb lift is open chairlift (cover optional)
if you like crowd / nightlife, stay at a hotel near to the main village
reservation is a must for the The Old Spaghetti Factory
Famous Sourdough in Old Spaghetti Factory, 1 Hour wait for dinner w/o reservations
if you choose ziptrack for ziplining, it is expensive but the quality is great! We tried to Bear Tour, the last zipline (5th one) is actually most fun where we can do all sorts of "moves". Don't be afraid to do backflip or somersault!
5th Line in Bear Tour, be bold!
